Although it may be exciting for you to introduce a cat to your family, the cat may not find it in same way as yourself. You should be prepared to introduce the cat to the new environment. Since cats don’t like company initially you should be very careful in introducing your new cat to your existing cat too.
Introduction of kittens will happen within days, probably 10 to 15 days. But introducing cats all depend on the temperament of your cats, both new and old. Just make sure that you give more importance and love to your current cat when introducing the new cat as you must make it feel secure else you might have to face some trouble with the introduction.
When introducing the new cat, you should first let it stay in a separate room till you finish all the introduction of the cats. That room should be a place where your existing cat don’t have access to. You should stock with all the necessities of a cat in the room in which you lock up your new cat.
Initially there may be difficulties like howling, hissing, etc., but later both the new and old cats will be friendly and will adjust soon with your home environment.
