There are four different models of Garmin aera series aviation portables, namely aera 500, aera 510, aera 550 and aera 560. The navigation benefits of all the four models are admirable. All the models are easy to use. Though all the models look alike externally, the software of each model is different with respect to at least a few aspects. All the models have touch-screen and double navigation between automotive and aviation.
The Garmin aera 500, aera 510, aera 550 and aera 560 are the touch screen versions of GPSMAPs Garmin 296, 396, 495 and 496 respectively.
The area 500 is the most affordable aera Series Aviation Portable unit. Aera 510 offers voice-guided turn-by-turn directions with text-to-speech audio technology that calls out streets by name.
The aera 550 and 560 features advanced routing facilities such as junction viewable lane assist. Garmin aera 550 has few advanced features when compared to Garmin aera 510. Garmin aera 560 has few advanced features when compared to Garmin aera 560.
